Discipleship Essentials

"Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me can not be my disciple."
- Luke 14:27

"I am the vine; you are the branches.  Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me, you can do nothing."
- John 15:5

These words of Jesus capture a call to follow him closely, carefully, and deliberately.  This can be challenging because of the busyness of life or a lack of awareness in how we can foster an ongoing and maturing walk with Jesus.  It is important that this process of discipleship does not happen in isolation or apart from the community of faith that is the Church.

As we begin this year, our church is offering the opportunity for you to grow in your faith in Jesus and in discipleship.  We invite you to take on a book called Discipleship Essentials.

This is a weekly workbook designed to help you understand the elements of being a disciple of Jesus but also to encourage you in practice and action.  Each lesson has a component of Bible study, Bible memory, reflection questions, and an article to read to encourage you.  Additionally, if you sign up for this process, Pastor Keith will provide a regular check up by phone to see how you are proceeding.
